Running up & down steps???

Okay so I'm a bike rider but from what I'm hearing it doesn't burn nearly enough as I thought... Would adding some laps up and down some steps increase my chances of weight loss? Or would it just reap the same benefits I'm hearing about riding bike? Tuner leggs toner back/butt... This makes me sad :/ lol I really love my bike ❤

Stair runs are amazing. The problem is you HAVE to push yourself to keep going, even if your legs get sore and even if your heart is raising beyond comprehension. When I was in football "Bleacher runs" were killer; but you sure do get in shape being hard on your body like that.

Hi, I saw your threads, and decided tor reply to this one. When I first started exercising, I began with cycling about 9 miles a day and lost 10 pounds in a month. I'm 4'11 so 10 pounds is a lot for me. The thing about cycling is you have to make it challenging. You really want to get your heart rate up! I did this by "racing" or taking an open path and cycling as fast as I could. I would stand up into a squat position and peddle. I would practice going up hill until I could do the various hills non stop. Mountain biking will REALLY make you tired and sore! as well. Be creative (and safe). Also, don't be discouraged when people tell you you can't lose that much weight cycling. You just have to work for it!

Running up and down steps is akin to running hills - great way to build strength & speed and compliments your cycling. (Another poster mention running bleachers....it's torture but a great workout)
