A 5 day newbie!

Well I began MFP 5 days ago weighing inat 195, and could use some support. I feel as though I am meeting my goals/watching what I eat, smaller portions, I even began running! I have 3 kids who are very active and sometimes it is difficult to do the right thing. I am going to Disney at the end of November and have a short term goal of losing 15 pounds. I keep asking myself, can it be done? When will I see results? How can I stay motivated if I don't see results right away? I think it would help if I could find a great support group here through MFP! Thanks!!! Rebecca

    Roreca YOU CAN DO THIS !!!! It is great that you set a short term goal, I'm not an expert but I know its very excited when you see you reach you goal in a short time rather than waiting for months to reach your goal if not more. The support here is great and I will sure be keeping my eye on YOU ;) so keep going and don't even think on quiting ((hugs))

    Look, your body has to realize that you are serious ....... because it's playing with you right now ....... it WANTS you to give up !

    Keep eating healthy & move more each day ...... don't whine, don't complain ..... JUST DO IT !

    You'll see results soon ...... have faith !

    And now's the time to take your "before" pictures & write down your measurements ..... because before too long you'll be wanting to share them with us :drinker:

    I think you might have misunderstood my post. I know I won't see results for a while, that is why I want the support because I am afraid I might lose the motivation. Thanks for the pep talk, and yes picture is coming soon (I just seem to forget when I actually have the photo opportunity.)
  • Hi Rebecca, nice to see you on MFP =) I just started using this website yesterday and I hope I can find a great support group too. I lost about 70 pounds before by myself but then I got unmotivated again and grew back about 20 pounds again. So now I am looking for new ways to help me keep motivated. You can add me as friend if you want so that way we can motivate each other =)

  • Hi, I'm 5 days new here also. I have a minimum of 60 lbs. to lose and so far I have lost 2 lbs. I know this will be a slow process, I hope to keep motivated and look forward to chatting and sharing with all of you !!
