I just had to post here this morning. I just get home from a beach vacation with my family. When I was there I got up and ran 3-4 miles on the beach each morning. Pretty much effortlessly! After that I had the energy and strength to chase my three active kids on the beach and build sandcastles all day. That to me is a success! I have vivid memories of going to the same beach two years ago and having difficulty even walking on the beach. It was exhausted and frustrated. I have lost 70lbs and kept it off.

Getting your energy back is more rewarding than the weight loss, IMO. Congrats!

Congrats! That is amazing. I came back from beach vacation with my family and was upset by the lack of energy I had and not to mention hating to put on a bathing suit every day! I started exercising and eating healthy that following Monday and have since lost almost 11 pounds in three weeks.

You just inspired me...I hope to have your success and energy by next years Summer vacation at the beach.

I cannot decide which I like better. I am certainly a better mommy and wife with all this new energy. The shallow, narcissist in me likes my smaller butt and shopping at Anthropology.

You will! One thing that really helped me keep plugging away during the hard winter months was creating a vision board (on Pinterest). a picture of someone with the body you expect to have running or playing on the beach. Put it in a visible place where you will see it ever day!

Congratulations! I don't even want to put on a bathing suit right now. Self-sabotaging is now officially over!
