You and your S.O.--similarities and differences

Okay..so they say opposites attract..do you agree? somewhat agree? not at all? I'm not sure I agree..I think (my personal opinion) that there are very important similarities that have to be in place or else you'll butt heads A LOT. Anyway...just for fun list the main similarities and differences between you and your s.o.

Similarities:
sense of humor
love for fitness and food
analytical
tendency to plan for the future
stubbornness
financial perspective/spending habits (for the most part--I might be a bit more conservative but not much)
dislike for sports (unless we're playing them)

Differences:
I'm less adventurous.
I probably have less of a temper.
I'm more wishy-washy (in a way)...I just have a hard time making decisions when I don't know exactly what the outcome will be..I can't seem to "take a leap of faith" as quickly.

The most important similarities have been:

1. we wake up at the same time (this is HUGE...so many fights with ex's stemmed over wanting to sleep/sleeping in when I was awake and wanting to start the day)
2. we have similar hobbies
3. we have similar morals and values

Hah... the whole 'waking up at the same time' thing really is important isn't it?!
My ex frequently used to sleep in until 3pm on the weekends, which left me with 6-7 hours to kill on my own. I lived miles away from any of my friends and family, so it was quite lonely!

Didn't notice how much it got to me until I found my current boyfriend, who usually wakes up at the same time as me. It's lovely having the whole day together instead of me aimlessly waiting for someone to get up and keep me company!

    Similarities:
We care about people and animals.
We share a sense of humor.
We have similar spending habits (but that's developed over the years).
We have similar tastes in furnishings.
We both hate a dirty house.

    Differences:
He is much more patient than me.
He is a total extrovert and I am an introvert.
He is a visualizer and I am absolutely not.
He is a food hound and I am not.
I love to exercise and him? Not so much.

We are definitely more alike than different. I believe in astrology. He's a Leo through and through and I am a Saggitarius totally and completely. We are both fire signs without a doubt.

    Similarities:
    Obsession with trying new foods
    Love for basketball and football
    Insomniacs
    Cheesy romantics
We are both "know what we like" kind of people, and we don't seem to ever waiver (thankfully, we always agree)

    Most important similarity:
We are both major hip hop heads...hip hop, not radio rap. We spend whole nights (and sometimes into the morning) analyzing albums from Nas, The Left, Slum Village, Blu, Black Milk...etc. Doesn't matter if we have work in the morning, we are at every concert.

    Differences:
He has is head in the clouds and I am more analytical
I am a "front and center" protester, he sits on the sidelines and votes
Our sense of humors...He is funny joke kind of guy, I am just a goofball
Family upbringing.....He comes from a very "Leave it to Beaver" kind of home, mine was more militant
He's majorly afraid of heights, I would go base jumping
I workout for fun, he works out because he's afaid of getting fat again (he lost 100 pounds)
I fly off the handle when I am angry, he calmly deals with bad situations

Our differences actually make us a better couple. I really hate that whole yin and yang thing. I think its more that our differences compliment one another and our similarities make us a great match.
