  • I'm from Buffalo, NY, so we are notorious for chicken wings! With bleu cheese, NOT ranch. Blech. Although I'm a vegetarian so I don't even eat them anymore, but I still put Franks Hot Sauce on everything to get that "buffalo chicken" flavor ;)
  • I'm from Minnesota - the land of hotdish. Mmmm...tator tot hotdish. Delish.

    And beer. Mmmm...beer!
I just made Tater tot hot dish the other night. Lol.
  • I am from Northern Indiana, about 45 minutes from Chicago, Illinois, USA. My biggest downfall was consuming 1,000 or more calories from my energy drinks and soda. I quit both of them and will never go back! Water is my new "drinking buddy"!

Oh, boy! Where do I start? I was born and raised primarily in Michigan, USA, although I spent a few years of my early childhood in South Carolina, USA. I moved back to South Carolina as an adult, and I have been here for about fifteen years now.

Food weaknesses? Well, if it's bad for you, it's probably a weakness. Not really a big fan of fast food, though I did eat it alot just for the sake of convenience (I'm single and don't like cooking for just me...it's depressing). My favorites, though, are pasta dishes, breads, Chinese food (Americanized version), any American homestyle cooking (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, fried fish, etc...), TexMex, homebaked goods....like I said, if it's bad for you, I love it.

I make a Buffalo Chicken Soup that is FAAAAANTASTIC! Planning to make some for my Carolina Panthers' season opener. Yeah, I'm bad.

I'm hispanic. We are all about our beans and chorizo! 2 things I try and stay away from now.

I use chorizo in my chili instead of plain ground beef....yum!

Unfortunately, we Dutch are also good at this: Dutch cheese and Bitterballen!!

    Yummmm....
ugggh I grew up in a primarily Dutch town in Ontario. Oliebollen was always my biggest weakness. To top it off, my boyfriend is Dutch and thus it makes a nice little appearance at his parents cottage.

    Oww, oliebollen!! Yummm!!

Born in Canada, but parents immigrated from Holland, so of course brought up with spiced gouda, krokets, oliebollen and my all time favourite, gebakjes!! Mm--mmm so bad, but so good! Oh, and don't forget the dubble zout dropjes. Double salted licorice, my non dutch friends just don't understand! And there is a Dutch deli in our small town, so the fixes are close by.

Born in France, raised in Massachusetts.

I could LIVE on lobster, mussels and corn on the cob.

For the French side - foie gras or escargot - that's a rare treat.

I'm from Finland. The weirdest Finish food I love is mämmi. It's traditional easter dessert and literally looks like *kitten*. It's made of rye and tastes sweet, great with sugar and cream. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mämmi for more info and pics. I also love a thing my grandma makes, she calls it "fat bits". It's rye bread cooked in lots of butter and some cream.

I'm a Kansas City girl, and BBQ is my downfall. I could live off it, and never eat anything else. But I want the beans, slaw and taters to go with the (4 or 5 slabs) meat!! YUM.
    And now I'm hungry... :(

Or...or....zuurkool met rookworst! That's sour kraut (and my Mum goes it with mixing mashed potato into it), served with smoked sausage and...yep, bacon and bacon fat.....and now I suddenly realise HOW I gained weight when I was visiting my parents!!!

I am french canadian and live in the province of Ontario. The french are sure proud of their poutines and crepes. However, I stay away from those.

Iowa (USA) here. Our native foods are corn and anything that was fed corn. My downfalls though are cookies and french fries.

I live on the SE coast of NC. We're famous here for our BBQ........however, I'm not orginally from here and prefer the tomato based bbq sauce over the vinegar base that they do here. It's good, but I don't go crazy over it like everyone else does.

I like in Maryland, USA. There isn't much as far as weird foods. Summer here is all about blue crabs, tomatoes, corn on the cob, and beer.
We have scrapple though which is pretty heart clogging as far as breakfast meats go. And we eat soft crab sandwiches.. mmm.

This right here looks incredibly good to me, LOL.

Err...is there any OTHER worst than Hema??? ;) My treat as a kid was going to one of those stands that belonged to Hema and having a thin rookworst in one of those hollowed out baguettes with that mustardy mayo.....mmm...................

I swear it is my Rotterdam roots that want me to have some extra junk in the trunk....
  • From Maine love lobster and clams with lot
