Hi, I lost over 20 lbs the first time I used this site. But fell off the "wagon" and put that plus back on. I am truely (did I spell that wrong?) discusted with myself. I hate the way I look and feel and am having trouble getting back on track. So here I am "yelling" for help. Anyone with advise? I am all ears.

Get to work. Get back, get serious or get bigger. The motivation is in you, now THIS TIME, how bad do you want it:huh:0

My advice is make friends and stay active on the site. We're all in this together! Friend request sent.0

Today is the 1st day of the rest of your life. Let's make the most of it. I have been "off the wagon" too and I am recommitted to sticking t the plan. Excercise and logging my food intake.
I am here for support!

I feel you! But you've already taken a step in the right direction! I love the support here :-)0

My biggest advice is to do what's comfortable for you and don't beat yourself up. I started off exercising regularly, but my mood has me just walking a little a day. To counter this, I ensure I stay within my calorie range. Slow and steady. Best of luck to you, you have my support.0

you are here so you know you want this. its not just about losing weight though, its about a total lifestyle change. i know the pain and frustration of the diet woes, trust me.
glad you are back and so happy that you are asking for help. with the help and support of others it is a much more tolerable journey, alone. . . not so much.
add me if you like. one can never have to many friends.0 -
Feel free to add me as well!! Good luck everyone!!0

You need accountability partners and/or a support group. Also, you need to ask yourself WHY this is important to you... not just for now but for the rest of your life.0

You have already motivated yourself by acknowledging that you hate the way you look, however there is no room for feeling disguested with yourself. We all fall off at some point.
Keep your focus and your goals in mind, especially when you eat. What helped me was to remind myself not to value food/over-eating over my health and my looks.
You fell of the horse, now get right back on, and remember that you can eat whatever you want but you must use portion control, watch those fats/sweets.
After you lose the weight this time, weigh yourself each day to see if you have gained 1-3 pounds, and if so, go back to maintaining your weight control plan of eating. That way the pounds will not slip up on you.
You did it once and you can do it again! Good luck0 -
I'm here for ya girl and I totally understand. I did this in May because we were having an office contest, won for most % lost, then fell right off. I weight more than I ever have in my life, as a single gal it makes it almost impossible to date and can really discourage me. I am trying to be very active on this site this time because it keeps me focused. I ask lots of questions of ppl here and with all the positive responses it really is my circle of friends. Let's do this together, I've sent a friend request.0

Please try not to be so down on yourself, it wont do you any good. We are all here to help each other so reach out when you need help. I too have fallen off many weight loss wagons but I keep going. For me making small goals are easier than looking at the BIG goal. Believe in your self and that you can succeed!!0

My biggest piece of advice: Stop feeling so badly about yourself. Feeling that way only increases your chance of failure again. Everyday do something that will remind you of how good you are and of the fact that you can do this.
Don't think of this as a diet, it is a way of life now. You want to eat healthier and do healthier things so you can feel good. Don't get discouraged if something happens. Push past it, and seek encouragement. Everyone on this site will give you that.
Most importantly, remember that doing this now is easier than doing it when you're older. The longer you wait the harder you have to work.
You can do it, I promise.0 -
Welcome back! First, stop beating yourself up. Negative thoughts create negative energy and make the process harder than it needs to be. Second, stop looking at the big picture and where you want to be, and start looking at everyday- there is a lot of truth in the saying that happiness is not a destination, but a mode of travel. Start enjoying the process. Enjoy the adrenaline rush and endorphin rush you get from the workout itself. Enjoy the small successes. Praise yourself when you choose a granola bar instead of a milkshake or whole grain pasta with a little butter instead of fettuccine alfredo. Increase your water consumption, it will make you feel better. Start taking a good multivitamin. Stop worrying about the scale everyday. Learn to like spending time with yourself and stop worrying about competing with everyone else or comparing yourself with other people. I have had a long hard journey to get to where I am mentally and emotionally and have had to battle eating disorders since I was 14 years old. Don't starve yourself, don't hate yourself, and don't let the number on the scale dictate your beauty. Fake it until you make it and you will find you will have made it there before you know it.0
