Can't run, lifting at home?

Broke my foot and have had to give up my running routine. I have a few dumbells at home but no gym membership. Can anyone suggest a home lifting program for me?

Why yes I can. I just read and started getting into "You are your own gym". It's fascinating and focuses on losing weight through only weight lifting. It's very informative and I think you'll be surprised by some stuff in there. The great thing is you use pretty much only your body, it's meant to be an at home thing rather than for a gym and you get to pick which exercises you do so you can adapt it to your broken foot. I suggest going here to get started: http://www.marklauren.com/

    Edited for grammatical embarrassment.

I'd also recommend looking into resistance bands. They are relatively cheap and easy to do at home.

Thanks, Ladies. Great ideas. How about a routine? Do you know of something published that I can follow? I don't really know the moves and could use a planned workout with instructions on form, etc. I'll google but if you know of a good one please share. Thanks again!

The You Are Your Own Gym has 4 10 week routines so it's extremely easy to follow. http://www.marklauren.com/ But if one of the exercises in the routine doesn't work with your foot situation, there are a lot of different exercises you can switch it up with. He has an app also that's really easy to use and shows you exactly what to do, even times the workout for you. My quads and triceps are still sore from Sunday!
