i cant believe I havent seen VOXER mentioned. It is a FANTASTIC walkie-talkie app. Imagine KIK, but with the ability to speak and not just 1-1.

    Apps are not over-hyped.

    Social apps:
Friendcaster for FB (better than the official app), Groupon, LivingSocial, Flixster

    Entertainment apps: I
Icanhascheezburger app for funnies, Audible audiobooks, YouTube, Fashion Police app, ESPN, Kindle, games (Words with Friends, euchre, Slice It, Monopoly, Angry Birds are my favorite

    Fitness apps:
    MFP and Sports Tracker

Other convenient apps include Google Maps, Google Nav, Zedge (free backgrounds and ring tones), Cozi Family Planner (shared shopping lists and calenders for multiple people), Accuweather, and the Amazon Marketplace (new free app everyday, usually a game that costs a few bucks normally)

Aside from the barcode scan function, the MFP app sucks in my opinion.
