Feeling Accomplished

So, today as I was looking back on my journal, I noticed that I had listed my weight as 295 lbs!!! YIKES!!! I don't know how many of you out there keep journals like mine, but weight, food, etc. was always a main topic even (or especially) when it was out of control. Trying to go back to how I felt on this exact day of last year, I remember feeling hopeless. Watching The Biggest Loser was almost torture as I envied them SOOO much for having the amazing opportunity to conquer this life dominating battle. That was then...
Today, I step on the scale and it reads 211.3. WOW! Still not great, but the way I feel about that accomplishment is indescribable. I no longer feel hopeless or envious. I feel inspired, full of energy, and focused. I still have around 70 lbs to go, but I KNOW that I can do this WITHOUT being on a tv show LOL! People at work ask me how I did it or what pills/program/surgery I resorted to. I'm pretty sure they don't believe me when I tell them that I did it through a common sense diet and more activity. I know that the process is a challenge, but to be quite honest, it really hasn't been that hard. I still eat when I want to...I just know how to pull myself back in. Anyhow, I just felt like sharing! Have a great day! Best of wishes on all of your weight loss journeys! It can be done...it's not a dream

I've lost 40 lbs., and have been on a plateau seems like forever, and I'm really working hard to lose the last 40 lbs., but I get the same thing all the time, what pills, what diet are you on, and when I explain I've just made a lifestyle change, (portion control, exercise, exercise, stay active) they look at me like they don't believe me. I think after you learn the portion control and types of food its easy stuff, but what most people cannot handle, is the amount of exercise and activity you have to do to keep losing, or to maintain, I think that's why they don't believe me. Anyways, its amazing that you have lost almost 90 lbs., and I feel so confident because of your attitude, you will reach your goal weight. Your definitely an inspiration that it can be done. A BIG congratulations to you!!!!0
