I always go the bed at between 10 and 11 PM... Stop eating at 7 PM? Or doesn't matter till I eat at top of calories?

It would be best to finish the last bite before falling asleep, to alleviate any choking hazard.

Meal timing is irrelevant. Your body doesn't know what time it is and your metabolism doesn't turn off at night. The only real reason to stop eating at a certain time is if it creates digestive issues for you - but that's an individual thing.

8:42 PM, and not one second before or after!

I find it critical that you do so BEFORE you fall asleep.

It doesn't matter when it comes to time as long as it fits your caloric deficit/surplus...But I would advise you to stop eating an hr before bed. Going to bed full makes me feel sick (I can only speak for myself).

If you can get a good night's sleep on a full stomach, then eat whenever. If it interferes with your sleep, eat sufficiently early that you can get a good night's sleep.

It doesn't make any difference to your weight loss if you eat right up until you fall asleep.

Some people will get heartburn or feel uncomfortable trying to sleep directly after eating, but if you aren't one of them, don't worry about it.

Right before you brush your teeth. Otherwise the toothpaste makes a big mess. And tastes nasty.

In all seriousness, doesn't really matter unless it makes you feel bad (like heartburn-y or nauseous or disrupts your sleep or something).

I pretty much don't stop until I brush my teeth before going to bed.

I think 7pm is a good idea. You dont HAVE to abide by it everyday, but trust me, 6 days out of 7 i dont eat 3 hrs before bedtime and I dont have any trouble sleeping, no trouble with stomach etc. BUT if I do get really hungry 1hr or so before bedtime then i eat something to satisfy my hunger :-) and also, i feel much better next morning:drinker:

It's 1oc in the morning here in the UK and I went to bed 2 hours ago. I'm now up and eating an apple. The calories will have to come out of tomorrow's allocation though as I used yesterday's up!

I think it's what works best for you. Some people say they gain weight if they eat too close to bedtime.

For me, the time I eat doesn't really affect me at all. I still loose the same. Obviously, if you eat later and step on the scale it'll be higher.

I try not to eat too close to bedtime but it's not uncommon for me to have a snack or my dessert around 9:30 or so..I usually go to bed between 10 and 11 on work nights and after 2 on weekends....

But basically, it's whatever works for your body.

It's whatever works for the individual. I've read that eating right before bed can cause problems like acid reflux or sleep disturbances for some people, but it actually helps others to fall asleep and stay asleep better when they go to bed on a full stomach. It doesn't seem to matter to me, as long as I don't go to bed hungry.

As far as weight loss or maintenance goes, it doesn't matter what time of day you stop eating. Experiment to see what works best for you! :drinker:

As long as you don't fall asleep WITH food in your mouth, you're good to go. That can cause death.

Personally I try to be done eating by 8:30-9 so my food can settle. Otherwise I wake up with heartburn or I get sick.
