Exercise Dilemma?!?1

So I have a couple questions....I have been working out at lunch 11:30-12:00 for 30 minutes, this is very good for me. I have been doing the Couch to 5k I am in my 2nd week day 1, but I want to put a little something else into my routine around 6:00 or 6:30. for another 30 minutes or so.
Question 1. Would you recommend I split up the exercises into 2 - 30 minutes or just do 1 complete hour. (I have the time in the evening that's not an issue)
Question 2. What would you suggest adding to the extra 30 minutes (since I'm walking/jogging) for either time period.
Question 3. What if anything do you suggest for a beginner starting off at a gym? or anything else you would like to add!

I think splitting it up would be a great idea. Depending on your heart rate, you usually burn calories a bit more after a workout too, so which ever works best in your schedule.0
