Honey Badger is getting *kitten* done!

Hi,
Just want to say hello to everyone. I'm new here so instead of awkawrdly avoiding your eye contact I thought I would get the dirt right out of the way, rip off the band aid and admit I am fat. I am also a freelance writer, the world's least skilled typist, blogger and smart *kitten* for hire. Most times I am a smart *kitten* for free. With some sarcasm. Ok- alot of sarcasm. I am a newly turned 41 year old. And a newly wed. I weigh 228 pounds today and that's ok. Because today is the last day I will weigh that much so I shall savor it and store this terrifying yet warm and squishy memory away in my 'Places I Don't Want to Visit Again' file.
These are the reasons I am here:
1. SIze 18 panties are not sexy. I don't care if they come carefully wrapped in sparkle tissue from Victoria's Secret. Not. Sexy.
2. Since being this weight (228 lbs.) I have broken 2 high heel shoes. That's an automatic trip to hell in my fashionista bible.
3. Would like to be more 'Fun Size' and less 'You can't ride this roller coaster size'.
4. Fat = sweaty. And not the good kind.
5. I hate being sweaty.
6. I would like to say I am setting a good example. But that's not why. I am doing this for me and my desire to buy a new, smaller more awesome wardrobe.
7. A life without Spanx.
8. Smaller boobs. Yes, I said that. 42DDD is too much of a good thing. Waaaaay too much. And the bras are not pretty. At. All.
9. My inside will match my out side. Fabulous sparkle badger through and through!
10. Because I am not 20 anymore. I have almost died once from high blood pressure (not even an exaggeration). It's time to act like the 40 I am and take care of myself.
Kisses and many happy motivating and skinny thoughts to you all!

Friend request sent!! I love some humor when I'm ignoring the chocolate and snacks for the purpose of weight loss. lol0
-
Well thank you! I need help...and not just in prescription form. I actually started my blog a couple of years ago as a weight loss motivational tool. It quickly turned into a things I like to gripe about vehicle. SO here I go again! Hopefully this trip will not involve a near death experience0

friend request sent. Welcome to MFP. You will love it. Love your attitude. Can't wait to support each other.0

I'm sorry , what did you say. All I got out of that is chocolate. Where is it? LOL
Today is the firsat day I have tracked my food- and all I want is a few cookies, rolled in chocolate, dipped in whipped cream and sprinkled on a gallon of ice cream. And then I think- is that even IN the food tracker thingy? Ugh- this accountablity makes me hungry and light all at once.0 -
it will get better. if needed get some fat free jello pudding cups. it will help take that craving away.0
-
Well as long as you make that dipped in Cool Whip Light, that'll cut alot of calories :noway:
Ok, maybe no chocolate, no ice cream, no sprinkles either.........yep, just the cool whip. :sick:0 -
Excellent post! You can do this really. I mean I did and it wasn't as much trouble as I thought it was going to be. You will have plenty of opportunities to shop for new sizes, and you do sound more of a shopper than I am. I went from a 14 to a 10 and now need to go shopping for what I thought was an 8 (and did online shopping). Alas, troubles are already starting because the 8's were to BIG.
Anyway, glad to meet you, welcome to the party. The only advice I can give you is to play to your strengths, they will surely save you from minutes of trouble and despair.

Awesome post! Welcome to MFP! I hear you about the cravings (I'm dying for some home-made chocolate dipped chocolete chip cookies), they can really ruin a week. It is all about self control and accountability. You CAN do this!0

I too hate size 18 undies. I feel like I have a boat cover on my butt. Not cute. Anyway, welcome to the fray.0

Wow- thank you all for all of the friend invites, nice words and promises to help me! I am hoping your 'help' means the same as my 'help'...wine delivery, shopping and perhaps a pedicure? All of your warm welcomes are sincerley appreciated by my honey badger heart0

Word to the wise....the 90 calorie fiber one brownie things are great for chocolate cravings ( I make mine extra better by warming them in the microwave).
Best of luck, it WILL get better. Can't wait to see your future posts!0 -
To my designer shoe "sole" sister - I absolutely loved your post! It's just what I needed to read to know I'm not alone. I'm three weeks from my 42nd birthday and on the verge of being classified as obese. I joined MFP a couple months ago, did well for a couple weeks, then failed miserably. After eating about a 1/3 of a package of Biscoff cookies earlier today and then feeling miserable, I said enough, made up my mind to start again, and logged back on to MFP. I've always been a private person and don't have a local support network. I've tried weight loss in the past with no success. Hopefully this time will be different. I wish you the best of luck!!0

Your great post and amazing attitude have convinced me to come out of lurk mode and send a friend request! :-) I've only been here for a few days, but it's great so far--and I've trying a lot of calorie counting sites/apps. I'm looking forward to making some friends to cheer on as well!
Best of luck to you! (And also, big thumbs up for Honey Badgers, especially the ones who get *kitten* done.)0 -
I'm on it! LOL How does any one live in this state and lose weight? The food is awesome and it's everywhere!!! I am glad I lost most of my weight before I got here...and don't get me started on all the cupcake stores!!!! OMG, they are trying to kill me and I must put them out of business pronto!0
