Hi Everyone at MyFitnessPal. I recently started taking on the INSANITY Challenge and i've been loving it. A few online friends recommended that I check out this website which I think is great however I'm having trouble logging in my workouts and the lbs that i've already lost. I'm day 24 into the challenge and going strong. I've lost 5 lbs and I'm not sure how to log it.
Next question: COFFEE!! You cannot get me to start my day without it and if i'm feeling down or low I drink another cup. Now this might shock some people but I'm a large 3 cream 2 sugar type of girl. My daily caloric intake is aprox 1700 calories (needed to keep up with the intense work out). Most of my diet I've switched to a CLEAN food choices so I am eating healhy. However with that being said will I still reach my goals if I continue to drink the high sugar/fat coffee? Any suggestions? Could I just eat less so I can keep it in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
BTW i'm about 5 "5 - 132lbs.

Depends are you doing the exercise to burn off those extra calories? If so then you will make your goal. I am a coffee drinker as well. I dont use sugar but I do use flavored creamer which contains some sweetner. So walk the extra 15 minutes or whatever it takes to burn it off.0

Hi.... the word "coffee" drew me in. I am a coffee-holic. I started drinking coffee when I was in middle school (which was quite a while ago). And I used to be a cream and sugar girl, too. First I tried the artificial sweetners and the only one I sort of liked was Spledra, but it made my belly bloat. When I joined MFP, I was horrified at the number of calories I was adding to my diet with sugar and cream. So, I told myself that I had to drink my coffee without sugar for 3 days - no matter what. And I got used to it and wouldn't think of putting sugar in my coffee now. I haven't given up the cream though, but I won half the battle.0

Try Truvia/Stevia as a sweetener replacement. As for the cream -- I won't even TRY to tell you nonfat milk is a good substitute, because it isn't. I use flavored creamer (Bliss Sweet Cream is my fave), just 1 serving (35 cal) is plenty. Good luck!0

I love , adore , like coffee . I used to have my Starbuck's fix every day in the morning and noon. I know all the extra calories were killing my diet . Nowdays I still drink coffee by i drink only expresso shots. 3.05oz and you ready to attack the day without extra calories. I know expresso shots is not for evereybody but give it a try slowly( put whip cream on top ). You'll have the same effects coffee give you in 16 Oz cup - the calories
Best Regards.

I drink coffee every day too. I don't always do sugar, but sometimes. I usually just do half and half. I've lost 37ish pounds to date. Like many others said, as long as you aren't going over calories or anything and you exercising the extra coffee calories, you should be fine! =-)0

I agree with LaMiaVita - Stevia/Truvia is a zero calorie, all-natural sweetener that comes from a plant extract and it's the best zero calorie sweetener I've ever tried. You only need about 1/2 a pack or less to get the equivalent sweetness as you'd have with three or four sugars, too. I also cannot give up my half n half in coffee (I figure why bother drinking coffee if you can't enjoy it?), but I got turned on to Nespresso capsules during a trip to Switzerland last year and bought myself a machine. Now most days I have 1-2 Nespresso capsules with a cup of nonfat steamed milk instead of 1-2 20oz regular coffees with lots of cream & half a stevia. The caffeine content in the Nespresso really does the trick to wake me up and keep me alert, and I like that I'm drinking milk, too. I don't normally drink any milk at all.0

Welcome! I haven't given up my morning coffee...0

I weened myself off creamers. Try using Unsweetened Vanilla Almonds Milk. Much lower in calories. I do use Stevia sweetener to keep the sugar down.0

I don't drink coffee, but I did when I was younger. I started out sweet and light, but gradually weened myself to black with no sugar. If you just put in a little less cream and sugar every few days, you will gradually get to black no sugar without really noticing the change over time. I did this back in the day to save the calories.
Good luck!0 -
Switch to Domino light (or any other sugar/stevia blend) and cut half the calories from the sugar.
And ENJOY!!0 -

I'm another addict, although I usually take my coffee black.
I have quit coffee a couple of times, and others just cut back. I really don't like being "addicted" to it, as in having to have some to feel awake, or getting a caffeine headache if I don't. I once did a 3 week cleanse, the first few days were rough because I didn't taper off coffee first, but after that I never felt better in my life.
I am having a hard time keeping my intake down. I've been a little better lately. I could literally drink coffee all day (1-2 pots) if I wanted to, but it really doesn't help.
I'm starting to wonder if it's an all or nothing kind of thing.0 -
This is like a Coffeeholics Anonimous page. I love it. My name is Jason and I am a addict! I cannot make one day without my coffee. I thankfully quit the smoking but I could never ever ever turn my beloved coffee. I can honestly say that I use low cal creamer substitute and sweet n low in it but I am sure that is just as bed for me in some ways. Feel free to add me fellow coffee fiends.0
