Lost 60 lbs ( 27 kgs ) in 7 months.

I have lost 27 kgs from Jan, 2012. I was 115 kgs when I started my weight loss journey. Now I have reached 88 kgs.
I live in Bangalore, India and I am a busy software professional.

For those starting this journey, remember it is a lifestyle change that you will need....
What worked for me, may not work for everyone as every body is different...

What I learnt during this journey is...

1. Type of Food intake is more important than exercise.
ie. You can loose weight by changing simply your eating habits.
But you cannot loose weight if you exercise and eat crap !!

2. Do whatever it takes to increase your MBR ( Metabolic Rate )
This is the rate at which your body burns fat. Combo of two things help in doing
this.... 1) Exercise + 2) Green Tea. ( infact green tea is very potent if couple
with cardio workouts.. it shoots up your MBR 18 to 20% higher than simple cardio )

3. Your stomach is not a dustbin.... so please do not put crap into it....

Definition of crap is 1) Sugar ( fructose ) 2) Butter/Oil/Ghee 3) Egg Yolk
infact Egg Yolk is worse to your health than smoking nicotine. 4) Maida ( wheat flour )
5) Softdrinks like pepsi, coke, fruit juices.... they all are high in sugar. 6) Chips/Crackers

For Indians.... stop Haldiram fried products, Maggi Noodles, Sweets, sandwich bread
( its maida + sugar )...

The Indian cuisine I eat.... ::

Breakfast : Poached Egg White, Boild Egg Whites, Oats, Skimmed Milk ( 99% fat free ),
Brown Bread, Salad, Poha ( rice flakes ), Mixed Fruit Jam ( occasionally), Idli, sambhar,
Dosa ( occasionally ) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/723366-healthy-indian-breakfast

Lunch:: Three roits without ghee, dal lentils, kadhi yogurt, okra (bhindi), cauliflower, potatoes, Bell Peppers,
Chickpeas, Kidney beans (rajma ), cabbage

Dinner:: Three or Two rotis, apple, watermelon, dal lentils, okra bhindi, cauliflower, potatoes, Bell Peppers,
Cabbage, Chicken breast only ( occasionally )

4. Turn your eating routine into Breakfast being heaviest meal, Lunch lesser and Dinner the least.
Heavy, Lesser, Least refer to Calorie intake.

5. Always take your dinner at least 2 hours before sleeping.

6. Walking is the simplest and best cardio that anyone can do anywhere.

7. Try to do small and simple exercises that you can sustain for long. There are no short cuts. Do not
burn or stretch yourself beyond your limits.

8. Patience is the key. Do little every day and results will show up.

9. Always maintain a diary of your food intake. This really helps in controlling what you are eating
