i take it after dinner and it works wonders for ur metabolism depending on the strength u are taking when havin a meal always sprinkle cayenne pepper powder is absorbed in the system quicker and kills hunger quickly than pill form. good luck :flowerforyou:0 -
I take it after I eat to speed my metabolism, and yes I have to say it works! I can feel my body heat up!0

Lemon is also a great hunger suppressant. You can make a lemon and oil dressing with garlic and oregano for your salads and what not. As an added benefit, lemon is also a great fat burner! :happy:0

I've been taking GPX granules to fill me up before a meal. Its a natural product and is also a fiber. Highly recommend it!0

I am going to look into the GPX as well as the lemon... thank you for the ideas! Also, for those that do the cayenne - how much should I take to really feel the appetite suppressing benefit? Each capsule I have is 450mg??0

Bump! I'm interested in knowing how much to take (sprinkle) as well0

I have never heard of this. Although, have heard of lemon being used as an appetite suppressant.
I don't think I have ever even seen cayenne pepper in a store. can it be bought in normal grocery stores?0 -
I get it in capsule form for like 5 bucks at my local vitamin store.0

sounds interesting, is it only cayenne pepper in the pill or are there other ingredients in it? I have to make sure that there aren't any stimulants in the things I eat like caffeine (or anything similar) so far any diet pills I've seen the pharmacist has told me not to take because it has one kind of stimulant or other0

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BUT I COOK WITH CAYENNE PEPPER ALL THE TIME. USED IT LAST NIGHT FOR DINNER.
i PUT CAYENNE PEPPER , CURRY POWDER AND LEMON PEPPER ON BOTH SIDE OF A FRESH TUNA STEAK AND COOKED IT IN MY TOASTER OVEN. I ALSO STEAMED SOME BROCOLLI AND GREEN BEANS WITH THE SAME SEASONINGS.
IT WAS AN AWSOME DINNER. IT IS ONE OF MY SONS FAVORITES. (HE IS 12) I HAVE USED CAYENNE PEPPER FOR A LONG TIME WE LIKE SPICY FOOD.0 -
I LOVE cayenne pepper.
I put it on everything, even in my hot chocolate.
So if it helps, then awesome.0 -

In your hot chocolate really. it doesn't ruin the taste of the chocolate?0 -
This is from a supplement review.
Cayenne powder (10 mg): Although the label doesn't indicate it, cayenne is probably included here because of its capsaicin content -- it's the chemical that gives chile peppers their "heat." The theory is that capsaicin "revs" up your metabolism by creating heat, thus burning off extra calories. However, this study (Am J Physiol Regul Integr Comp Physiol. 2007 Jan;292(1):R77-85. Epub 2006 Jul 13) says it best...
"Capsaicin has been shown to be effective, yet when it is used clinically it requires a strong compliance to a certain dosage, that has not been shown to be feasible yet."
In other words, in order for capsaicin to have an effect on your metabolism, it has to be taken in doses much too high to make it practical. There's little doubt the dosage included in the Weider Fat Burners won't do much for "revving up" your metabolism.0
