Hey there OP. How about you start us off by thoroughly explaining what you mean, and what you see as at least two opposing viewpoints on the topic?

It depends on how understanding/supportive the other person in the relationship is. I looked into figure competitions, but the dietary lifestyle isn't what I would consider enjoyable and I certainly wouldn't expect my husband to eat what I was eating. We get enjoyment out of cooking/dining together (healthy foods, but not what would be on a body-building plan) and part of our relationship would suffer if I chose to go down that road. Additionally, body building requires a huge time committment to the gym and if the other half isn't much of a gym-body, they may feel neglected.

In short - It is possible to be in a relationship AND bodybuild, but only if the both of you are on the same page with expectations.

I gained 40lbs when I was most in love! I think eating out more, being comfortable with your partner and spending more time with them and less time in the gym contributed. All EXCUSES I know, but it happened. Now that I'm single again, I'm back in the gym and counting calories.

Absolutely not. Unless you're dating a sloth.

I know a bodybuilding who is dating a petite little girl who doesn't work out. He hasn't lost his shape at all. :)
