Is this wrong of me?

It has almost been two years since I have had any red meat but all of a sudden I have this crazy urge to enjoy a double meat from Whataburger, (which they don’t have in Denver!). What makes it worse is that I feel like eating this in front of my client.

  • lol I don't think it's "wrong" of you to want meat...

but it may be wrong of you to eat it in front of your client without sharing...
  • It’s still the same as if you were drinking your Hulk Smoothie in front of me; remember???

Nothing wrong with that. I've been craving a steak and it's only been two days since my last one...

The only wrong part is eating in front of your client lol. I haven't eaten meat for over 2 years and I still have an urge for bacon every time I smell it.

omg.... I've been wanting hot food for like the past 2 months. If it isn't making me hot and my nose isn't dripping... its not hot enough!

Is meat from Whataburger really the meat you want?

I made the mistake of adding Dave's Insanity sauce to my spinach salad tonight, only now at three hours later have the effects worn off.

    That'll teach me !

read an article in Nat Geo about water consumption and which animals consume the most, after reading that I lost my desire for beef.

I think you might be able to afford to sneak a little naughty food into your diet!

I can't explain the eating it in front of your client part, but maybe you need some iron. ;-)

I have not had a burger in over 8 months, lately I have been craving one so this weekend I plan on treating myself. I will not be going to BK though, there is a local burger place that uses fresh local organic beef, produce and they make their own buns. There fries are very good too but I will leave these out, just a good burger, Yum. Oh yeah I have lost 40 lbs since the first of the year. I am 60 years old and 9 years ago I had to have shoulder replacement surgery do to a accident and have arthritis and many bone spurs in my spine and also arthritis in knees.Sometimes this makes exercise hard but I try to exercise everyday (someday I just can't but make up for it the next day) and I am learning to eat healthier so I do not feel guilty about this wonderful burger I will be eating and neither should you.

Water is the ultimately renewable resource. Contamination is much more important than consumption. Cattle drink it then put it right back on the ground. It's really only city dwellers that need to worry about water consumption. For those of us with a septic tank we pretty much put it right back in the aquifer as soon as we're done with it.

don't eat it in front of them - but do go get yourself one ..maybe its a craving you have but once you get it the burger won't be as good as you remembered it - then that will make you not eat it anymore...good luck (now I am craving a burger too! LOL)

I have not cut out meat from my diet but from time to time I have had
    EXTREME CRAVINGS for meat.
Sooooo it lead me to my good friend google to research it.
What I found was that it could be your body telling you that you're deficient/low with protein intake.
    just my 2¢

Two years and you are craving Whataburger? :noway: Are you sure you're not preganant?

As far as eating it in front of them, go ahead. Just tell them if they work as hard as you they can indulge once in awhile.

I’m a pescetarian so I only eat fish and I will fight this craving but it is always nice to dream.
  • sounds like your body wants a particular nutrient, probably iron. Are you avoiding meat for any particular reason?

No particular reason, I gave up poultry, pork and red meat and have stuck with that. I take Multivitamins so my iron count is ok. You walk by a restaurant that simply reminds you of what you gave up, that’s all.
  • Yeah, I get that :) Congrats on giving up the meat. I've tried, but my hubby is all "bacon makes everything better" and my willpower is kinda nil when it comes to his pan roasted chicken *lol*
