okay i know that it's not good to consume a lot of fat, and that trans fats are bad. But does anyone know the difference between poly and mono saturated? Is one better than the other? should I be getting a certain amount of either daily? confused...

This probably provides more information that you really want, but reading it will give you a good understanding of fats, how our body uses them and how they affect our health.

As a basic general rule, avoid all trans fats, limit saturated fats and get plenty of unsaturated fats (both poly and mono), without going over in calories or neglecting other macro or micronutrients. Get as much fat from plant based sources as possible.0
