Hi,

Two years ago I decided that I would do something each year that I didn't think I was capable of the year before. I started off with the Yorkshire Three Peaks (in under 10 hours) and did a 5K, a 10K and the some adrenalin events like the Edge Walk at the CN Tower (because I am terrified of heights). Anyways in a moment of madness, I signed myself up for a HALF-MARATHON!!

Just wondering if any of you guys (in the UK/Yorkshire) are planning on doing the Leeds Half-Marathon in May 2013?

I have just signed up for it, but have never done a race beyond 10K in length. I am also not a terribly fast runner, but I like to think that slow is better than not at all!

I currently run approximately 20 miles a week (I know not near enough for the half) and am slightly terrified.

If you are doing it, do you want to set up a group so that we can support each other in our training prep and schedule?

Good for you! Running 20 miles a week 7 weeks before the run is more than fine. I say you keep going ad you are, then follow a 10 week online plan or something?
