So yes, that is actually really funny. Alas, I'm trying to teach my son not to laugh at people less fortunate than himself, and I don't want to be someone who does that either. In ten years (if that long) we'll start hearing about those people hanging themselves because they've blown whatever money they have, and they'll be stuck with their ridiculous lives and no one will give a crap anymore who they are or how dumb they are, and that's really just sad. And a little predatory. (Sorry, please don't think I'm going after you at all - and that line about 'what's a stalemate' really is funny. But I feel like a ghoul allowing myself to enjoy other people being morons and thinking they're the ****. I feel bad for those people.)

I have never watched jersey shore, but I lived there, and the advertisements I saw for the show were pretty accurate.. but that's as a teenager. My memories of lavalette and point pleasant when I was a little girl were the best I've ever had.

As someone actually from New Jersey, unlike most of the people on the show, I'm happy.

On my first day of college orientation, I told everyone I was from Jersey. A guy looked at me and said "If you're from New Jersey, why aren't you tan?" I told him he was watching too much Jersey Shore. He then asked me if I knew Snooki.

I'm from Jersey too and I went up to Boston for St. Patty's 2011 and as soon as they saw my tags.... "JERSEY SHORE, REPRESENT!"

I had a friend tell me that it "makes you feel better about yourself", and she talked me into watching an episode. I didn't make it halfway through. I felt worse about myself because there were millions of better things I could be doing instead. Things like jumping off a cliff or walking into traffic.

OHHH overseas shows...Secret Diary of a Call Girl was my GUILTY PLEASURE..I LOOVED it. I think i watched all 3 seasons in like 5 days :laugh:

We just keep trading crap it seems... While there are some British imports I love (Merlin, Dr. Who, Top Gear).... I am not a big fan of our remakes either (the Office for one (even if I'm the only one)).

I am just thankful that the remote for my television works.
The only "reality" shows I will watch is 'Overhaulin' and the amazing race.

I couldn't be happier over this news! I was so happy never knowing what that orange creature called a "Snooki" was, and felt my IQ drop just hearing about how she's not going to be a decent mother and not have anything to do with diapering, feeding, taking care of, her offspring, and will only "dress him up". Seriously?? People idolize this? Gag me.

Now, will they please cancel all the idiot Cajun this and Cajun that shows too? Then our average IQ might rise 25 points in this nation!! :-)

I'm just glad they cancelled it before it became a joke...ya know?
