They do not assist with fat loss at all.

You may have some temporary water weight loss, which will come straight back. There will be no fat loss.

I have seen some pretty dramatic before/after photos with those things. I don't believe for a second that they aid fat loss, but how exactly do they work? No way water loss makes that kind of difference. Are the pictures just faked? That would be my guess LOL.

But if they are some magical temporary thing, please let me know. I'd buy them to use before a wedding...I'd look so much better in my dress!
  • Well I shal let u guys know how I feel about if it works or not :) lol.

id go with - if you want to waste your money either donate it to me, or flush it down the toilet.

Have yet to hear a good thing about those.

Probably should have asked BEFORE you spent your money on it .

I don't think anyone will tell you it was a good purchase , myself included

I used one back in the 70's all it did was cause a rash from the added heat it caused...wasn't worth my money.

It would be okay just a temp loss in inches for an event I guess :)

They basically just sweat the water out of you = bye water weight.

A very temporary scam, and it will not get rid of any fat like people are buying into....I like to exercise with cling film on at times if I have a lot of water, but I definitely wouldn't pay for something that makes barely any difference.

It amazes me how ppl attribute those to wieghtloss, "I wore it while I was exercising and my stomach shrunk" Hello?????? did we just overlook the part about you were exercising? could that in anyway have been the reason... LOL

My cousin and sister-in-law sold those things for a few months right before summer... they touted them all over FB, telling everyone how wonderful they were. All the while I was working my butt of in the gym and eating a clean diet... guess who looked better in a bikini come July?? They looked exactly the same and I lost 26 lbs and feel great!! Oh, and neither of them are touting the wraps anymore... if they really worked why aren't they still pushing them like they are the best thing since sliced bread??

There are no shortcuts... workout (hard) and eat clean.

so you bought one and still don't know what its called? I seriously hope the package doesn't say Stomach Wrap Thing!
  • Yah, it was only 10 bucks and other than that it keeps my stomach from flappin around when I run or do the treadmill and I will definitely wear it when I zumba, I'm always self conscious of my stomach moving lol
  • Nothing worth having is easy to reach! Keep up with hard work and determination, not miracle "products". You WILL get there!

It probably makes the area look smaller from the compression, kind of like how your leg looks skinnier than the other after you've had it wrapped in an ace bandage. I hear saran wrap will give you the same result (again, only temporary).

just be careful and take it off as soon as you're done working out and then take a shower and scrub well! Why do I say this? My brother used to swear by the sweat belt.. he wore it all the time! And then one day he began to grow a fungus on his skin and he had to go to the doctor and get special creams to have it removed.. it was disgusting! And he's a clean person.. needless to say now he swears against it! So heed my warning be careful and scrub scrub scrub!!!

If you engage your core, especially with Zumba, your stomach will stop flapping around so much and eventually not at all...

I have a friend that sells these and touts them all over her FB page. It's annoying. She even had the nerve to send me a message saying "I know you're kicking *kitten* in the gym, but you should try these!" :grumble:

    Sorry you wasted $10.

I've always thought of them as being similar to bandaids or socks that are a wee bit too tight. Sure, they slim ya down, but in 20 minutes, everything's back to where it was in the first place.
