Does power walking work?

well...just as the topic dewscribes. are there any general guidelines on how to do it? time, speed, walking postures, etc

    ive heard it does.. and tucking your belly in n sticking your *kitten* out and a straight back helps too with muscles.. im going to be adding fat burning walks to my already busy regime :) 45mins each morning on an empty stomache.. this will cause your body to work harder and i will dip into your stored fattie cells and burn at it.

    Thanks :) Sounds like you're really going for it. Good on you! I'm very motivated as well. I diet, do yoga, and I want to do some cardio to burn fat. Power walking with my dog is therefore an alternative. I want to lose another 18 kg (aprox 40 lb.)

    It's pretty much what I do. :smile:
    I try to make sure my speed is no less than 3.5 mph (that's around 5.63 in kilometers). I do it about an hour at a time. I try to keep my stomach in and my posture up. I've lost 30 lbs doing this since March along with a 1,400 calories or less diet.
