My acctual waist measurment is 34 but wear 30x32 jeans.
Why is it that jean manufactures always state waist size lower than a persons actual size.
Is it a psychological sales thing...?0 -

Damn! You guys really make me feel fat now! I'm 5'2-1/2, 148 (as of today) and have just gotten BACK into my size 12's!!! Yes, I have the figure of a bowling pin, but still...
Sure, I know, it depends on the brand of jeans, also...
What is frustrating for me is that 12's were once my "fat jeans." Whenever I'd have to be on a medication that would blow me up 20-30+pounds, that was the size I had to keep in the back of my closet for just such "emergencies." My size 10's were my "I-don't-give-a-****-jeans" - where I didn't exercise or watch too carefully what I ate... Size 8 was my "normal" size when I would be in my regular routine of healthy eating and moderate exercise. And last, was my size 6's, which I could wear when I actually tried a little harder...
I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be happy to be down to my "fat jeans" again... What I'd give just to be one more size down! But at this point, it's starting to look doubtful.0 -
I was about to answer based on the jeans I was wearing, when it occurred to me that I HAVE NO FLIPPING IDEA! I've lost enough weight that everything I own is too big for me!
The best answer I can give is 5'6, 223 lbs, and somewhere under a size 22.
That no flipping idea turned out to be a size 18... but I haven't stepped on a scale since the 18's fit perfectly at 220 lbs (I forgot this thread when I learned my size) and they are a bit baggy now... ot sure how much I weigh. One day... ONE DAY I will have the answer to both questions... at the same time LOL0 -
I am 5'4, but I don't know how much I weigh due to not having a weigh in until next monday. However, I just tried on my size 8 jeans and they fit!0

I guess these are US sizes?
I think you just add a size for Europe.0 -
