Three 'healthy' foods that will make you fat?

So I just watched a video about how three foods that you think are healthy can cause belly bloat and stop weight loss. The foods are : yogurt, nut butters and cheese. I eat these almost everyday. I know they say everything in moderation, but should I stop eating these until I want to maintain? Or should I just not eat the yogurt for breakfast everyday?

Here is the link to the video for those of you saying that I need to do more research.

I wasn't asking this question to see if anyone can harp on me and tell me to do more research, tell me I shouldn't listen to everything I hear. I asked this to see if anyone on here had any other knowledge about it. I have done research about how greek yogurt is bad for you because it has a lot of sugar. I have done research that people who are lactose intolerant can have a lot of bloating after eating dairy products ( yes I am lactose intolerant. and although a take a pill for it, I still have symptoms.) I don't think I am going to eliminate these foods out entirely I am just wondering if I should limit them to help me lose weight.

if you avoided everything that some dude said was going to make you fat, you'd not have anything to eat at all.

Please do a little more research on the subject, as that is silly (assuming you don't have some intolerance or allergies to them)

Someone is always coming along saying don't eat this, don't eat that. Unless a doctor has determined that you have a specific food allergy or intolerance.. eliminating entire food groups from your diet is pointless. This is a lifestyle, it's more likely to be sustainable if you eat a variety of healthy foods and treat yourself once in awhile!

A youtube video does not equal research.

Any food that you eat above your calorie goal will make you fat.

Wow that video is full of fail. First off, you can't target fat loss. Eating this or that will not reduce "belly fat". Fat comes off from all over and usually we have the most fat on our stomachs which means it is usually last to go. Just reducing your overall BF will cut stomach fat.

Secondly, Nuts are some of the best sources of natural fats and will not make you fat or hinder fat loss. I have shed a few pounds and eat at least 1/4 cup a day of almond or peanut butter (natural, not the stuff with hydrogenated oils)

The only thing that will cause weight gain is too many calories over maintenance and the only thing needed to lose weight is eating at a caloric deficit. That being said, eat a healthy diet consisting of protein, fats and carbs and eat a good amount of veggies all while staying at a deficit and you will lose weight and not be denying yourself things you enjoy to eat.

Yep. No food by itself is the devil. Except maybe transfat.

Okay thank you this is the kind of answer I was looking for. :) Thanks

Peanuts are a legume, so I can see why they might bloat you more than, say, an almond or cashew nut butter.

If you have a lactose intolerance, you probably should not be eating lactose!

Yogurt does not contain lactose because the bacteria in the yogurt metabolizes the lactose to lactic acid which is essentially what turns milk into yogurt.

Yeah, I agree with most others here. I eat this stuff almost daily. I'm losing just fine and am quite happy with the results. Don't pay the videos any mind.
