Morning everyone and happy Friday! I just got a new blender (super exciting stuff here) and my attempt at making a smoothie this morning wasn't very successful. Anyone have any "recipes" they like, what ingredients do you use, how much, etc? Thanks thanks!

I usually go for green smoothies. Basically regular fruit smoothies blended with greens (usally spinach). Much healthier and rich in fiber.
Try to put in 40% greens and 60% fruits.
E.g.
1 cup baby spinach
1 banana peeled
1 apple
1/2 cup mixed berries
1/2 cup water
Fills you up.0 -
My favorite 2 smoothies are so simple but delicious.
BANANA/DATE SMOOTHIE
3 Bananas
6 large dates (or more if using smaller dates)
Blend and enjoy.
PINEAPPLE/ORANGE SMOOTHIE
1 whole pineapple (EDIT: The pineapple is, of course, cut up with the core and skin removed)
Fresh squeezed juice from 2-4 valencia oranges.
Blend and enjoy.0 -

Almond milk makes the best smoothies and there are only 35 cals in a cup! Here are some links to good smoothie recipes. You can adjust them to fit your tastes and dietary intolerances if you have any. (I never usually add sugar or honey to any of them even if it's in the recipe.)
