That's certainly pretty light! Unfortunately you can't change muscle length (ie: making them long and lean.)

    Pics of arms?

Check out Leah Sarago and her Ballet Body workouts. She does exercises that develop long and lean muscles, eccentric contractions and isometric holds.

I would say don't lift heavy, and work on bodyweight exercises with your arms like push ups, planks, etc.

I love your arms - and I am striving to have arms like that. So what is the problem again? Because honestly I do not see a problem there.

Cut out any focused arm work - no bicep / tricep exercises. You will work your arm muscles when doing back/chest exercises.

Do some good, focused static stretching after exercise to elongate the muscles.

Yoga could also be beneficial, if for no other reason than stretching the muscles we spend so much time contracting during strength training.
Yes and I was thinking of doing some Pilates as well.

I'm going to butt in and say -- Your arms look beautiful. You are strong and fit!

I would love my arms to look like yours one day, and since I tend to be muscular (and I weight train on a regular basis) I am sure the more fat I lose the more my arms will look like yours. Some other people mentioned it already, but it's genetics. Every body is different and yours tends to have nice toned arms.

Thank you, Im one of those people who is just never satisfied and always looking to change something.

I'm certainly not an expert on this matter, but I have been told that more stretching can help create long and lean muscles verses bulky short ones...

    Thanks, I will try this!

I definitely am not doing any work on my arms. I'll keep in mind that they get enough work during other workouts that I do.

But... but... the Pilates instructor said you could. LOL
Your arm look awesome. It looks lean and muscular, not bulky, IMO.

Between her arms and your abs this thread is shaping up.

Thanks so much for all the nice comments and helpful tips! I guess I always wanted to have those skinny long arms like the models, but I'm just not built that way. So I'll try to make the best of what I have.

Stretching maintains flexibility, it does not make your arms longer. Make your muscles longer than they're suppose to go is called tearing a muscle, you don't want that.

Healthy and athletic looking is far sexier.

Hold a dumbbell in each hand and spin in circles as fast as you can. The centrifugal force will lengthen your arms.

    Hilarious!

What Rae said. Your arms are so much better. The flexed arm is super hot and the unflexed arm is sleek and elegant. Best of both worlds!

your arms are friggin fantastic. forget special exercises and go out and buy a bunch of tank tops to show them off. they look great and are in perfect proportion with the rest of your body, which looks pretty damn good too.

Nice work by you. Keep it up.

You are correct about one thing. Nope, you're not an expert. This isn't true. Stretching is good advice, just not for this reason.
