Best Personal Blender

I'm researching personal blenders today and am wondering if any of you use these and which is the best for minimal cost. I'm going to keep the base at my desk and blend protein shakes and smoothies during the workday (Have a full size Oster blender at home). I've already cleared it with the office mates as I don't want to make too much noise and annoy them.
Here are the 2 I'm looking at:
Oster - My Blend 250-Watt Blender
$30 w/free 2nd tumbler at Target
http://www.amazon.com/Oster-BLSTPB-WBL-250-Watt-Blender-Powder/dp/B004P2OLB8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Hamilton Beach - Personal Blender
$15
http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-51103-Single-Blender/dp/B002V8ZEXW/ref=pd_sim_k_3
I've read the reviews on Amazon and there's Pros and Cons to both. I'm favoring the Oster one but know the Hamilton Beach has been out longer and is cheaper.
What are your thoughts? Do you have another brand you'd recommend better?

Stick with a full-size blender base with a "real" motor in it as long as it has the blade attachment that will spin off of the pitcher and straight onto a mason jar... then customize the jar used for what you're making... fresh spices? 250mL container.... shake / smoothie either 500mL or 1000mL (1L) container etc. Only limited by how many mason jars you have for how many personal flavour combos you can make.

I use the Magic Bullet at my office. It's compact, light and inexpensive. It also has a variety of cups and has been great for my protein shakes. I've seen it for less than $50 at both Bed Bath and Beyond and Costco. If you go that route, Bed Bath & Beyond also does 20% off coupons if you sign up for their promotional emails.

It makes a fair amount of noise, but I wouldn't say it's horribly loud. Good luck on your search!0 -

I have a Magic Bullet that I use as my portable blender. It's great not terribly noisy and strong enough for frozen fruit.0
