Hey do you think a personal trainer is worth the money?
Does anyone have a personal trainer here?
What are you're thoughts on it?

Much Love x

they're usually REALLY expensive, so the number of sessions you want depends on how much you're willing to spend, but honestly it's not a bad idea to have a few sessions with one so you can get all the info and exercises that you can then use on your own toward your fitness goal. My husband got some "free" hours with one when he joined his gym and it has motivated him a lot (to do the things I've been telling him he needed to do for years, but whatevs).

Great if you know what you want, and the trainer can get you there.

A personal trainer can be very helpful, but is not essential. I had a few visits with one to help find exercises that can work around old injuries. Trainers can help change up an old routine and suggest different exercises to keep you on your way to goal. I somentimes suggest that new exercisers meet with a trainer to learn their way around all of the gym equipment. Occasionally I join a small group at my gym for small group training to change things up for fun. It decreases the cost and we wnjoy working out together.
  • It really depends on a few things:

    * your lifting technique - safety in new learning exercises.
    * your motivational needs - do you someone to light a fire under your *kitten*?
    * your exercise knowledge - a trainer can fill you in on important information about posture, core strength and nutrition, as they pertain you to you specifically...info you may not get doing your own research.

About 8 yrs. ago, I bought a bunch of fitness magazines and taught myself how to lift weights because I could not afford a trainer. Then, I started to read bodybuilding.com articles and do even more research to learn how to sculpt muscle. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, you can learn almost anything about exercise that is appropriate to your goals. If you have neither the time or the motivation to do the research, contract a trainer.
