Hey there!

When I first started MFP, my ultimate goal was losing 100 lbs, putting me at 165. That was such an enormous amount that I decided to focus on half instead (which my ticker below reflects.)

Today, I decided to do some math. I've been on MFP just about 6 months now and my loss has been between 5 and 6 lbs a month. This is including a lot of days where I went over my limit and some months with little to no exercise. I figure it reflects the true me and what I am capable of when I'm just giving it 65% effort.

If I can give it just a little more effort per month, I know I can bring my average up to a solid 6 lbs loss per month.

Having a plan keeps me motivated so I did even more math.

Here is my projected progress (weigh in the 1st Sat of each month):

9/1: 235
10/6: 229
11/3: 223
12/1: 217
1/5: 211
2/2: 205
3/2: 199  ONE-derland!
4/6: 193
5/4: 187
6/1: 181
7/6: 175
8/3: 169

And by this time next year, September 1, 2013, I can be at my goal of 165!

Where can you be in one year if you break it down month to month?! :flowerforyou:

    Awesome!

My projected goals (if I don't make it by a pound or two I don't care) is like this:

    Current: 160 (scale says)
    10/1: 156
    11/1: 152
    12/1: 148
1/1: 148 (I'm going to eat at maintenance in December for holidays unless I change my mind lol)
    2/1: 144
    3/1: 141
    4/1: 138
    5/1: 135

From there I will see what needs to be done (lose more or tone)....

 That's great! I think having a time line helps keep things in perspective and gives mini goals to focus on instead of the big picture!

I reached my 100 pound loss on August 18th, which was 10 months and 2 days after I started mfp. I started at 290 and yesterday weighed 189. Things are slowing down a lot but that is OK. I originally set my goal at half my starting weight, which will be 145. So I'll see when I lose the next 44 pounds if that works for me or if I need to keep losing.

I'm not good at setting time lines. Plateaus come into play and mess with my mind, so I'm better off just being happy when the scale shows a loss.

    Good luck!

Wow, good job on your loss :) Yup I've been victim of the plautuea and it sucks. Fortunately if it happens again, I'll just change up my dates and goal weights to accommodate the delay. :)
