I calculated my BMR which is around 1585 and I am trying to lose weight. I started this new dieting and exercising only a few weeks ago and still havent seen any results.... I eat anywhere from 1200-1480 calories a day because I was told to eat less to lose weight but I am starting to think thats not enough... I am not hungry throughout the day I can keep busy and I drink a ton of water so i know thats not my problem. I just came off the HCG diet and I am not sure how long my body needs to get used to all this food again... I posed my menu from today and my calories are quite low, but I still feel like I am eating the wrong things can someone who has been doing this awhile explain what I may be doing wrong or just need to give my body time? All of these websites say I need over 2000 calories but I am not hungry enough to eat that many calories. I am only 5'5 28 years old and 175.4 pounds... I would like to be 145-130

Your diary is closed so can't help you there. You may need to up your calories a bit. Are you eating back your exercise calories? Also your body may be a bit out of whack from the HCG diet and it may take a few weeks for things to adjust and start losing.

Regarding HCG, did you do the injections? Were you following Simeon's original protocol? Just wondering if you did the follow up weeks after the last HCG...

Can't see your diary, but what is your carb intake like? Is that a place where you can cut, and add more lean protein?

my body takes FOREVER to respond, but if I keep at it eventually the scale starts going down (slowly). Many times I think I quit too soon because I didn't see the results I wanted, so, within reason, just keep at it. If a lot of time goes by (like weeks) with no change you'll know you need to have another look at your diet/exercise plan.

    Great info there!

Also check out the group Eat More To Weigh Less: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/3834-eat-more-to-weigh-less

I think you may find some members who have been through similar circumstances and are or have been where you are, and could help you out!

your BMR is your basal metabolic rate, which means it is the complete bare minimum you need to eat to sustain your life if you never got out of bed. ever.

to lose weight, please calculate your TDEE, or your total daily energy expenditure, and then find a number of calories to eat, that falls inbetween your TDEE and your BMR. maybe something like TDEE minus 200 cals.

    eat right, work hard.
