The next time you go to the store grab one of those small shopping baskets go to an aisle with cans, take 27 of the 1 pound cans and put them in that basket, then carry it around the store. You'll be amazed how tired you get and you did that every day, every time you stood up. I'm down 61 pounds that is the weight of my second cousin, I'm still 298 pounds so I'm still a big man but I feel so much thinner. Keep at it and you will get the weight off and look how you feel. Good luck...

    Thank you.

I can't quote everyone, but please know I have read all these and appreciate it all so much!

Pick up a 25lb dumbell, then put it down. THAT's why you feel slimmer! It's that much weight your knees, hips, and back no longer have to support... maybe you're noticing that you're able to move with a little bit more ease? I know my joints are the first parts of my body to say "thank you!" :)

    AWESOME JOB!! Keep at it!

This is exactly what my husband did for me when I was feeling down that I'd "only" lost 20 pounds so far. One day, he handed me his two 10 lb dumbbells. Not knowing why, I took them. I was standing there, wondering how long he wanted me to hold those flippin' heavy things when he said, "Heavy, aren't they?" When I agreed, he said, "That's how much weight you've lost."

Made a huge impact on me!!! Nice advice!
  • Feeling better / thinner is your brain's way of saying - this is working! keep going!

    Congrats on your journey!
This. I've lost pounds but the inches is what boosts my self-esteem and keeps me going. I can look down and not see my tummy but my toes!

40 years old and 300 +lbs. so you averaged 7.5 lbs per year.

You have lost 27 in one year. Taking it off 3x faster is Impressive

That is a really good way to look at it. And I have actually lost it in 14 weeks.
