I've had a sore muscle in my groin after running for the last couple weeks, I've been pretty much ignoring it but it got quite sore after a 10k today. What's good for fixing it. Thought I might try a hot water bottle for a couple hours tonight.

heat is probably not the best option .... rest, ice and, depending how high in the groin, if possible, compression bandage.

Dont apply the ice directly to the skin (wrap in a damp towel) and do not apply to the testicles.
Keep the ice on for 10-15 minutes and repeat every hour or so for as long as you can.

    Got to Agree! REST!

If its been niggling for a while means there is damage and it needs time.

Hot water bottle, might ease it but give it a few days.

I don't see that ice and compression are bu!!$#it remedies. Heat can actually cause more damage.
