Jumping Rope

Can anyone tell me how many calories I burned. I was jumping rope & instead of counting minutes I counted jumps. I did about 450 jumps. No where tells me how many calories I burned. I was jumping pretty fast, so I know that saying I jumped 3 minutes and only burned 50 calories is wrong. Help?

Girl you need a HRM.
It says you can burn between 11-20 calories per minute depending on intensity.0 -
450 jumps, lets say one jump ever 1.5 seconds, meaning 30 jumps a minute, meaning 15 minutes of jumping rope.
you know that jumping rope for ten minutes is the cardio vascular equivalent of running an eight-minute mile.0 -
can you not just time yourself doing a smaller number of jumps (say 10 or 20) either with or without the rope and calculate things from there (remember to allow for the fact that you may have slowed down as you got tireder)0

Don't get an HRM. But we can't tell you because we don't know your bodyweight. But if you're saying you jumped for 3 minutes 450 jumps/150 jumps per minute, then 50 calories is a reasonable guess for most people. Either way, for that short a time, I wouldn't worry about trying to get the calorie burn accurate down the exact calories. Plus or minus 20 cal isn't going to hurt you.0
