I see so many people on here calling people a troll.

What is the TROLL to you?

Is it someone that just does not agree with you???

    This is a modern definition of a troll or someone who "trolls" on the internet:

    (For those that don't want to click link:
    "One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or
    message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.")

    While I usually wouldn't use Urban Dictionary as a reliable source, this definition is actually pretty accurate.

    A troll to me is a person who "trolls" through the forums looking for a place to cause dissention and then sits back and laughs us bickering back and forth. They deliberately try to provoke others with their comments.

    Ugly, smelly thing's that have hunched back's, are generally short in stature and live under bridge's and like to eat small children?:wink:

    Or, people that just fire off offensive remarks that are 100 percent guaranteed to raise everyone's blood pressure to beyond 212 F.

    I think the term troll is bandied about way too much. To me it's someone who joins for the sole purpose of derailing the workings of a site with the intention of abusing individuals, or to discredit the site.

    When regular members post for others' amusement some will call them trolls - but only because they have failed to detect the joke...

    Ok, so here's my take on trolls, while the video is aimed at gamer trolls I think the message sums them up pretty well. Please do not open this at work some language and a visual that would not be appropriate. Enjoy :)
