I started my weight loss journey in January 2012, and I've been diligent in my efforts to lose weight. Some months I dropped four pounds, other months I'd only lose one pound. Through it all though...my measurements kept me strong!

I've lost 25 pounds so far, I am half way to my first major goal (possibly my UGW depending on body fat %) When the scale stalls, or I'm feeling down, I break out the measuring tape.

August was one of those months. I only lost one pound, but I lost 3.75 inches last month!!

I've officially lost 30.5 inches overall and it feels amazing!!

My biggest drops!: Hip measurement went from 48in. to 42.25 a difference of 5.75!
Waist: 36 to 31.5 = 4.5!
Thigh: 27.5 to 23.25 and 23.5 = 4.25 and 4 inches!

To all of you who are frustrated by the scale, please measure!!! Just because it isn't moving, doesn't mean you aren't losing!!

Great job! It's crazy what a difference using that measuring tape can do for your motivation. The scale can defeat you if you let it! Keep up the great work! :D
