Well I work out if you were 18 mins a mile thats 3mph :)
  • Thanks, I'm not good at math at all lol I passed high school and some college but haven't used it in a few years except for the bank account.

    10 min mile = 6 MPH
    12 min mile = 5 MPH
    15 min mile = 4 MPH,
    20 min mile = 3 MPH,
    30 min mile = 2 MPH

Find the closest to what you are doing and use that figure... In this case a n 18 min mile = about 3 MPH... Pretty close any way. If it is flat land, you will want to err on the conservative side... If it is hilly, you can get by with erring a bit more to the generous side (incline burns more calories)... Best wishes in your endeavor.
  • Thanks! I'll definitely save that and I'm in Missouri lol we have plenty of hills.

Did anyone else do maths in school???
1.9 in 30 is equal to 3.8 in 60 or 3.8mph so I'd log it as 4 miles walking, and then adjust the calories (take off 5%)

1.9 miles in 30 minutes is 15.8 minutes per mile according to my calculator!

But if you've walked/ run for half an hour....then the per hour speed would be double that. So 1.9 miles in 30 mins, times 2 is the same as 3.8 miles in 60 mins. 4mph is a close approximation, and a reminder that your calories burned through exercise are ALWAYS an approximation.
