great link! Healthy Weight VS what we THINK is Healthy

Replies

  • That's interesting.

What it suggested for a "people's choice" healthy weight is the weight that I am "actually" aiming for.
What it suggested for a BMI choice has my current goal weight at the top.

Callista Flockhart is not under my fat. I wear a size ten shoe and an F cup bra and am generally sized to match. If I go all the way down to 130 I'll look sick. The people's choice is considerably more realistic, I think, in terms of what will make me look good.

Man, I am 5'6.5" Yes, that 1/2 inch counts :) I am currently at 271.4 which is too high however, given my frame size, I would look sick if I were 120-132 which is the low range of "healthy". I was down to 145 at my lowest in college and as my sister says, I looked like a bobble head. I think the people's choice weight of 184 is MUCH more realistic, although right now I'm aiming for a healthy 200 lbs. Because for me that's a great weight. :)
  • People's choice weight is just two pounds under my goal--142 rather than 145. Interesting.

Also, Alexandra above who said, 'Callista Flockhart is not under my fat.' You made me Lol!
