What's the craziest thing you've tried to lose weight?
ME: I did a green tea laxative (daily) many years back. It was CRAZY because I was taking classes and out of nowhere I had to take a MAJOR dump. I felt my tummy drop and it was over... I ran out of class at least once a day. That was crazy and unhealthy, I would never try that again.

The Cambridge Diet for me. I know it works for lots of people and it did for me for a little while. I lose 3 stone in 9 weeks but eating less than 500 cals a day when you weigh over 250lbs can't be good for you. Screwed up my periods and I gained the weight back. Now trying to lose weight using regular healthy eating and exercise and it's so much harder than previously so can't help but wonder if I screwed up my metabolism a little (was on and off the diet for over 2 years and ended up heavier in the end *sigh*)0

When I was 16 I ate nothing but plain tuna, grapefruit, boiled eggs and green beans for a month. I lost 10 lbs but of course it didn't stay off. I really stuck to it but I had no energy.0

I never really tried anything too crazy other than random energy type pills in hopes that they would give me the motivation to exercise. And since they never really gave me any energy I never really tried to lose weight. That said, there was this one thing I used for a while after college that really dropped the pounds (though I actually didn't need to lose any then), but saying what it was would be very incriminating...0

It wasn't to lose weight, but for two years in college I decided not to eat meat. I just wanted to see how long I could do it. But I wasn't a vegetarian, trying to eat healthy, balanced foods, I just eliminated meat. I think that was the time I also eliminated all sugar.
I did lose weight, and I wasn't heavy to begin with. Wish I could do it again in a healthier fashion, but I like meat and do better when eating it and I have a craving for sweets.0 -
