Hi all,
I'm a 24 year old graphic designer and martial artist from Mexico.
I've never had problems with my weight, I've been training marcials arts for over 9 years and this October 19 I will participate in my most important tournament to date, The 9th Pan-american wushu championship, I will fight in Sanda.
So as a fighter I have to cut weight for the tournament, I don't like to dehydrate my body so I'm trying to lose as much as possible in the most natural and healthy way.
It would be great to find other people like me, fighters, competitors, or anyone who trains daily that can motivate me to keep my goal, without having to take extreme measures like stop drinking water for a week and that kind of stuff because those things hurt my performance on previous fights.
So I welcome all new friends.

Y por supuesto que todo contacto que hable español es mas que bienvenido.

Hey there. I'm a fighter also. I usually cut my carbs back a few weeks before the fight and do a lot of endurance training. Then the day or two before the fight I eat abnormal amount of carbs so I have energy. I can usually drop a good 7-10 pounds before a fight doing it that way.
  • Amazing, I know I've never been good on cutting weight mainly because I don't know to do it right. t's not common here, one fight at his natural weight.
So eating so many carbs before the weighing did not make you gain some pounds?
