Yoyo weight change

I seem to be slowly losing weight but it's up and down. I very every 2-3 days by 1-2 pounds. My weight loss also seems to have slowed down a lot.
Is this normal? I'm at 44 pounds so far and the 1st 30 were much quicker than the last 14.
Ideas here? Oh and I've stepped up my exercise quite a bit.

It's hard to give you ideas without seeing your diary, but I would just tell you that it's perfectly normal for your weight loss to slow down. You've had amazing progress so far, congrats! I suggest only weighing once a week to get a more accurate number, everyone's weight fluctuates throughout the week.
I just got out of a 3 month plateau myself- the scale didn't budge, but I did lose inches. Take your measurements and find other ways to track your progress. It can never just be about the scale!0 -
Thank you. I'll keep that in mind... take my weight once a week... and measurements.0

It's normal for weight loss to not be linear, and for you to experience daily fluctuations. It's also normal for weight loss to be slower the closer to your goal you get. Try not to worry too much about what you weigh on a given day, but try to track the overall trend. If that is still going down, then that's what counts. I weigh every day - it's not a problem if you don't get too emotionally attached to the number. I make a graph though which shows me the overall trend. I'm only looking to lose another 10-15 lbs so it seems to go very slowly for me now.
Taking measurements is definitely a great way to track progress. Take photos too if you aren't already. Full body shots every month, or every 10 lbs or whatever can really keep you motivated when the scale isn't shifting.
I don't know how many calories you are eating, or if you have made any adjustments to that, but make sure you're getting enough, especially if you've just increased your exercise. For example, if you started out aiming to lose 2 lbs a week, that could perhaps be tweaked as it's a less appropriate rate of loss for someone only 30 lbs away from goal. Some people find that they stall after a while on a certain calorie goal and if they increase slightly, the weight starts coming off again.0 -
I'm doing about 1650 calories a day. I work out typically with walking 4-5 days a week at least 30 mins and then I have a martial arts class I do for 90 mins 3 times a week. The martial arts class doesn't burn as many calories as you would think. I can't where a heart rate monitor but I'm guestimating about 350...
I've wondered if I'm not taking in enough calories. I typically end about 1500-1600 calories a day... net with exercise.0
