43 YO Changing my life!

So, I am 43, about to be 44 18Nov. I lived 1/2 my life without regard to what I ate. I exercised as the opportunity presented itself. (soccer in the yard, swimming, etc.)
I realized I have to be more responsible for the remaining 1/2 of my life in what I eat and daily exercise. So, Tuesday will be one week. I track all my food intake, make better choices, and I exercise 20 minutes (at least) a day on our elleptical machine. My BMI is 30. I am 5'7", 190 lbs. It feels great as I make progress and this web site is a great help! Once I get to my goal of 140 lbs, I'll thank myfitnesspal as the tool I needed!

    Good for you, Fred. I'm doing the same. Wouldn't it be nice to send a message to the younger you saying to skip the fried foods? Oh, well. Better late than never. I'm now putting soy milk in my coffee. Soy milk! Who is this guy?

    I feel ya. From my poor dieting after I got married till now I have developed type 2 diabetes. I'm hoping to drop enough weight to not have to use insulin. ugh..

    Anyway...
