Need a healthier hot wings recipe!

I plan to surprise my hubby with hotwings, brussel sprouts (yes he really likes them) and baked potato wedges tomorrow night when he gets home from work. Problem is, I haven't found a healthier version of hotwings yet. Any ideas? We like them HOT. Would they turn out ok if I baked them a bit, rolled them in franks with some seasonings, then baked them some more? I'm afraid if I did that, we will taste only the frank's though.

Steam them first. I use our rice cooker. It'll take them about 12 minutes if thawed.
Dry them off and put on a cooling rack on a cookie sheet (a ton of the fat drains) in a 450* oven...10 - 15 per side or until they crisp up.
NOW toss them in the Frank's.
Greek yogurt with a little feta and a pack of Good Seasons dressing mix is the best "Healthy" dipping sauce I've come up with.
Eat the skin or don't. Either way it beats the heck out of deep frying.0 -
Great! I thought I was the only person who used a cooling rack on a cookie sheet. My family all looks at me like I'm totally nuts for doing that.
Great suggestion!! Thanks!0 -
