Has anyone tried LifeSize Portions?

I saw an article on this company in NYTimes
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/02/business/lifesize-a-weight-loss-strategy-from-an-unlikely-pair.html?src=me&ref=general
The system costs 75-95 dollars. I don't see anything novel in it, just different sized serving cups. The reviews are mostly positive, from HSN, but I was wondering if anyone here has any thoughts. Seems to me like a crazy amount of money for some measuring cups...

I saw the article as well. I don't see any reason you couldn't recreate the same idea very easily at home. I struggle to weigh everything but thought after reading this I could just buy some measuring cheap cups and mark them for each category.0
