In response to a locked topic, attractiveness
I've been insanely hairy since puberty (long time ago!! lol) and I've always had huge issues with this. To the degree, in fact, that I won't go swimming, take my shirt off unless I'm totally comfortable with all the people who will see me, and scared ****less to get involved with someone physically as I've had hurtful comments made in the past.
Anyone remember an old WWE wrestler called (amongst other things) Prince Albert? Yeah, now you're getting the picture, only I'm worse!
Do any ladies out there find that attractive?
I'm clean, decent, large build, shaved head, big hands and feet, and have a British accent, but this hairyness.........

I am just curious as to why you shave your head but not other body parts if it bothers you... Even wax works wonder on hairy backs. I just find it to be a shame that you wont swim in public or take your shirt off on a hot day because your hair bothers you. If it bothers you that bad, ask your significant other to assist with wax or shaving or something. Just a thought...
BTW... I am married to a hairy man. Prolly not as hairy as what you are but still hairy none the less. lol0 -
Thanks for that.
My partner lives across the pond, in the USA so it's a long distance relationship, and I can shave my own head/chest/stomach, but not my back.
I've considered laser removal, but may try the wax. The thought of pain doesn't bother me, as it will be worth it for the end result.0 -

i date a furry fella, but wax is great for hisback, i do it for him before holidays, lasts weeks and comes back through lighter, softer and less obvious.
the more you wax, the more this happens as the hair follicles weaken, eventually you need to wax less and less.
shaving kinda has the opposite effect.
book in for a wax, its really not that painful0 -
I'll wax you!! Lol I love waxing men it's so funny.
Anyway on the topic I am sure there are many more women than you think out there that find hairy men attractive. Don't let the past losers get you down. I know that's easier said than done. Embrace who you are and flip the bird to anyone who wants to try bring you down!0 -
Thanks you guys. I knew I could rely on you mfp-ers to pick my spirits and optimism up!!0
-
but seriously, I'll wax you! lol0

Lol. I would love to try waxing. I hate shaving0

Well in!! lol0 -
My husband is practically a Wookie. Mostly hairy on the chest and stomach (which I like, and never thought I would) than the back, though. Some fuzzy patches, but he does run the electric shaver over his back once in a while.
I'll never say, "Ooh, baby! That's hot!" when it comes to a hairy back, but honestly... it doesn't matter one bit. It's just a very minor part of who he is, like his eye color or shoe size. I can't understand why people are so shallow that it's a deal breaker.
It's kind of like my dog. He's missing an eye. The very first time I saw a one-eyed dog, I thought it looked weird and sad. But MY dog... he's an adorable happy little fluffball, who just happens to be lacking in depth perception. It's not something I notice or think about, because it doesn't matter.0 -
yes there are females that like hairy guys..if my fella waxed his chest it would be game over I love my werewolf! men are supposed to be hairy! I hate the look of grown men with zero hair, little boys are hairless not men! And shaving...unless you are going to maintain it everyday dont do it, nothing is worse than cuddling up to your guy and thinking there is a hedgehog in the bed! bet there are a few guys that feel the same about womens prickly legs too) If you must remove body hair. wax or use hair removing cream if your skin will tolerate it, regrowth is softer...also if you get waxed regularly enough often hair folicles get damaged so no hair growth at all, so the density of body hair reduces.0

Don't even waste your time with wax, do the laser.0 -
:drinker: Get it waxed!0

Do some of you girls just want to think of me in pain while my back hair is ripped out with wax strips? lol
I can't afford the laser treatment or I would do, so wax it is then!0 -
I keep everything trimmed up and neat from home and doesn't cost me a dime! You have to stay on top of it because if you don't it can become and long lengthy process! Don't be afraind to embrace some hair woman do not like to feel their men prickly and higher maintance then themselves!!!0

I use an electric trimmer / razor for everything but my back. For that I have it waxed every 2-3 months. It's worth the pain.0

Ok well if you can afford laser go to any high end laser medical facility and buy the numbing cream they sell it's a lidocane and another numbing agent, and rub it on your body 40 mins to 2 hours before you wax, you probably won't feel a thing with that stuff its amazing and seriously numbs you up for close to three hours if you use enough of it. The longer you leave it on the better it works less pain you'll feel but don't wait past two hours to have your waxing done. I've done laser and waxing and that numbing stuff is awesome and I don't feel a thing and I get lasered at the highest level of heat and on my face to remove old acne scarring and let me tell you it's a Godsend. Waxing is a cakewalk compared to laser so you would probably not feel a thing.0 -
Yes go with wax. Plenty of women(myself included)like a hairy chest, arms, but I am not sure too many dig a hairy back. I would suggest doing that. Also if you are super hairy on your chest invest in some clippers put a number 4 on it and trim down your chest. This does wonders! Good luck!0

My husband isn't extremely hairy, but what hair he does have bothers him (not enough to shave it though... just to trim it up in the areas that get a little wild). It doesn't bother me one bit. It wouldn't bother me if he were hairier either. I actually really like the weekends when his face is scruffy because he doesn't shave unless we go out (he's military so he keeps a freshly shaved face Monday to Friday). Now, I wouldn't tell him to go out of his way to grow everything out either, but it wouldn't bother me if he was a wooly mammoth. haha I didn't fall for him because he doesn't have much body hair.
And just as many men like different types of women (my husband likes curvier women, my brother likes petite women, my step dad apparently likes angry women since he's married to my mom lmao, and my dad likes quiet, simple women), women like different types of men. Your partner likes you the way you are obviously. Wax it if it bothers you that much. Wouldn't hurt to try! (Well, it would hurt physically, but that's not what I'm talking about. LOL)

I guess I am the odd one out. I love a hairy man. Chest, back, legs, arms, shoulders.... I like the way it feels against my skin. Any man that landscapes is a total turn off for me. With that being said, I shave daily. I don't want the hair on me, just on my man!0

Give me the hairy guy. *sigh*
And shaving/waxing/manscaping? I'll take the Natural way, thanks. . . that stuff is too high maintenance, and seems vain to me.0 -
There is someone for everyone! I have a friend who loves her guy hairy.0
