Plastic Surgery

Has anyone had plastic surgery to remove excess skin after weight loss? I have lost over 50 lbs., and have so much skin that hangs from my arms. The rest of my body has been able to adapt pretty well, but my arms look so awkward. Of course I still have a long way to go, but my legs and stomach have seemed to do a much better job at going back. I am not a fan of plastic surgery and really do not want to take a risk like that, but I also don't want to wear long sleeve shirts for the rest of my life! I have pretty good self-confidence, and my arms are the one and only thing I would ever consider plastic surgery for. I have seen before and after pics and have only seen one before pic that looks even remotely close to how bad my arms look. Any advise or suggestions from someone who has had this surgery would be great.

I have been told that it takes a couple of years for your skin to snap back and that toning exercises are the best thing you can do. I'm hoping that I can do this the natural way

I think that , with some time, your skin will "go back". It depends on your age and how "too much skin" you have. Leave yourself some time. And don't forget that it you go wih surgery, you can't take back weight, the skin won't strech anymore!. Good luck and congratulation for your big weight lost!
