I ran my first 10k on Saturday! I had no idea when I started losing weight I would have gotten into running! I have lost around 55 lbs and it feels wonderful! I continue to have to work out and watch what I eat in order to maintain what I have worked for! Myfitnesspal has sure played a big role in where I am today! I can not say how much the support helps!

I went to a boot camp when I turned 50 and they said I had to run. I thought they were nuts. I will be running my first half marathon the 22nd (well, I've already done it in practice, but this one they will give me a medal so yay). You look great and I hope you had a blast!!! I like 10ks -- little more challenging than the 5k but not as much of a commitment to getting a good time as the half. (But never say never for a full, right?)

Congratulations to you! Through my weight loss journey I also started running. A year ago I never would have thought about running but I love every minute of it. I ran my first 5k in December of last year and am looking forward to tackling a 10k!

Congrats! and you're right, you have to maintain. Continue to eat healthy and stay active. Many of us who have yo-yoed with our weight probably did 'cause we thought we were done and went back to unhealthy lifestyles. don't you make the same mistake.
    Keep up the great work!!

You look so amazing and just look at that smile! You can see in your face that you have earned this and feel so proud of yourself for accomplishing this.

I walked in my first 5K ever this year and was extatic when I finished... Next year I hope to not only walk, but jog some and beat my time.

You look great! I have my first 10k this Sunday and my first 1/2 marathon on 10/7. I am one of the worse runners that I know, but I know that losing 36 pounds with MFP has given me the confidence to try new things. Keep up the great work!
  • Congrats! I plan to complete my first 5K on Thanksgiving Day. I hope to have the same smile you do when I finish! :)
