Is it crazy that I dont want my hip measurements to drop below 45"? lol. Im at 47" right now.... I swear I will be on squats and the thigh machines like a mad woman if I reach goal and am below 45". Smdh. I still have 30lbs to go to, so I know Im going to be below that :-( :ohwell:
I was just curious to see if there were others like me, that have a more "voluptuous" goal in mind. You know the, Beyonce, JLO, Scarlett Johannson, Salma Hayek, Jessica Biel, Not quite Serena-esque, but almost (lol) type ample assets. :drinker:
Im 5'6" and aiming for a goal of 160-165, when most are aiming for 120 to 135 at my height. But I love my boobies, hips and thighs. When I reach 160 they wont be as ample so I plan to fill them out with beautiful muscle that I assume may put me at 165ish. But I dont know exactly how to go about it the correct way. I just have an idea. So........
Has anyone achieved it? If so, how so???

Just me?
No one knows how to achieve these results??? :frown:0 -
Me Me Me! This is my goal also. I do not want to be thin, I want to be fit and keep a little curve to my body. Im 5'3 and trying for around 150 which leaves me about 25 more pounds to lose. I do a full body workout 3 days a week, 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of heavy weight lifting.0

I don't think you are crazy, but I doubt that JLo and KK or any of the women you mentioned have 47" *hips*. 39", tops.0
-
I can guarantee you that none of those women has 45" hips.
If you naturally have an hourglass sort of figure, then you'll have a smaller hourglass when you lose weight as long as you don't get down into fitness model sorts of body fat percentages (which is not going to happen by accident).0 -
None of the women you mentioned are anywhere near 47' hips. Most are small size 4 120lbs. I'm an hourglass, it does not matter what I weight, my body will look curvy. If that's how your shaped the chances are you won't lose your curves unless you get down to a very low body fat %.0

Can't lie: a bit disappointed this isn't a pics thread... :-(

I would love to have a body like Beyonce & Kim K but unfortunately I didnt get the big booty genes. :sad:0

I can pretty much guarantee that not one of those women has 45-inch hips. Not even Boyonce.
For that matter, I DO have that body type, I'm most definitely overweight (none of them are) and my hips are still not that wide.0 -
my hips are 34". ideally id like to lose a little more, just so im not between pant sizes. im 4'8" , i got lucky (?) and managed to get a butt that would make kim k. jealous.0

Lol. No they dont for sure. Lol. I was just tryna give ppl and Idea of the curvaceousness I speak of.lol0 -
When I first measured my hips after I started losing, my hips were around 41". They're now about 36" but I look a lot curvier now than I did then. Still got plenty of booty.0

None of the women you mentioned are anywhere near 47' hips. Most are small size 4 120lbs. I'm an hourglass, it does not matter what I weight, my body will look curvy. If that's how your shaped the chances are you won't lose your curves unless you get down to a very low body fat %.
No I will always be this shape. But I can build a nicer, rounder booty and thighs with squats. Anything below 160 and I start to look sick (i guess its my genes and/or body type) Im a medium to large build. So 120 wont fly for me. So if these ladies are 38-39" inches in the hips at 120 then 45 for me at 160 will look just as good. Im thinking more on proportions not actual weight and measurements0 -
I don't understand why you would want to remain overweight though, when you'll have the same proportions (though not measurements) in the healthy range for your height.0
-
OP, I really don't think that's something you can control (aside from plastic surgery). I've gone beyond my goal weight at 112 at 5'2", and even though I have nothing left to lose, my hips are a huge 39". I only lost two inches on hips despite my 20lb loss. It really is genetics. Whatever your shape is now will be your shape will you lose the weight, only smaller. I'm sure we all wouldn't mind looking like J-Lo though. :laugh:0

I think that you're going to find that isn't the case once you reach a healthy weight and size that you're looking for.
You don't achieve that curvy (but healthy) shape without being born with the right muscular structure. Even women who are not hourglass or pear shaped who build up the muscles you're talking about do not look like that. You just can't. That's like someone who's an hourglass or pear trying to build bigger core muscles to try to achieve the more straight up and down look. It just can't be done.0 -
I'm 120lbs and have plenty of butt and thigh to worry about. *laughs* It's the upper female part that I ave no control over... because it's almost non-existent. *sniff sniff*0

I'm the same height with a start weight of 212-215 (my scale said one thing, doc's office said another lol!) My original goal was 165, I am just about 10 pounds under that now with about 15 pounds to go for my altered goal. I think a 160 pound goal is good, but once there you may want to focus on body composition, just so you look "tighter" and not "flabby" not that you will, that was just my case. I found for myself (and I have wide shoulders and hips) I still looked overweight and saggy in the 160's. I to don't want to be stick thin, and I don't think I would look feminine with a low BF% body, so I want to build up my hips and shrink my waist so I still look like a lady0

when I owned a gym and before that went once a day at least sometimes twice. I had what and still have what they all called a squaters butt!! Not a bad thing I have always had strong butt and leg muscles. I believe if you keep squatting and doing leg press and lunges you should be able to keep that booty that you are wanting... Good luck
P.S. Farmer lunges are great add dumbells to your lunges and find a nice long area to do these and make sure to increase once they become too easy0 -

160 isnt overweight for me. I have a large frame. I start to look a little unhealthy under 160-165. Its amazing to me that everyone is shaped so different. Its a beautiful thing, never the less0 -

Currently sitting at 5ft8 in 181 lbs @ 22%bf. I have alotttt of muscle thank god! lol
bust - 36, waist - 30, hips - 42, thighs - 23
If you want to keep the curves I find that cycling my cals and building muscle and cutting helps. i DREAD losing my chest... since i have such an ample and shapely lower have.
the hips will shrink with cardio and things like side lunges, plie squats, hack squat.
good luck!0 -

I don't want to lose my curvy shape either. But if I want to get to a healthy weight, then my curves will need to tone down. I'll be toned down everywhere. I'll still be curvy, just on a smaller scale :happy:0

I will always have the boobies and the bootie. LOL0
