Calorie Counting HELP (I'm unsure!)

Options
Hi guys,

So I'm new to this, but I know you're not supposed to go below 1200 calories otherwise you risk your body entering starvation mode etc..

However,

My current diet reckons I'm eating around 949 calories... I mean it can't be right can it? I feel full after every meal, and snack on fruit and stuff during coffee breaks, but I'm still under 1200 calories.

Here's an example of an average day;

Breakfast

Raspberries - Raw, 10 (Calories 10)
Sweetner (Calories 2)
Hovis Nimble, Wholemeal Bread -2 slices (102 calories)
Medium Free Range Eggs - 2 (176 calories)
Tea, Milk, No Sugar (11 calories)
Grapes (31 calories)

Total = 332 calories

Lunch

Cous Cous (79 calories)
Red Pepper (13 calories)
Broccoli (15 calories)
Spring Onion (6 calories)
mange Tout (8 calories)
Lemon and Lime Sugar Free Jelly ( 8 calories)

Total = 129 calories

Dinner

Slimming World Chips (170 calories)
Green pepper (15 calories)
Beef Burger (101 calories)
Mixed Salad Bag (11 calories)
Cucumber (8 calories)
Lemon and Lime Sugar Free Jelly (8 calories)

Total = 313 calories

Snacks
Tea, Milk, No sugar (11 calories)
Peach ( 44 calories)
Diet Coke (0 calories)
Mentos (120 calories)

All this gives a combined calorie count of 949.

Any suggestions on where to add calories (food stuff suggestions as well) would be really appreciated!

Thank you :)

    Increase your portion size!!! Double the portion size at both lunch and dinner and you should reach the correct amount of calories. also, is this a 'typical' day or is this a one off day?

    Def bigger portions. Add some healthy fats in there, that will bump up your calorie count. Being under 1200 honestly doesn't get you anywhere any faster, you only deprive your body of what it needs to function.

    Nut butters, maybe some healthy dairy (quality yogurt, cheeses,) add an avocado into the mix once in a while.

    When I"m low on calories at the end of the day, I'll make a protein shake with almond milk to get me up to where I need to be.

    Feel free to check out my diary if you want, it's open.
