My original post said: For me - Firefly and Prison Break.

Edited to add (after reading other posts): Vengeance Unlimited, Homicide, October Road, and Life Unexpected -

And I'm gonna add a few to that list:

Mad About You. Loved that show.
    Studio 60. Fabulous cast.
Joan of Arcadia - but really - we needed Wentworth on Prison Break

There were other shows I loved in their glory days - The West Wing & Gilmore Girls for example, but I felt they were so tired and lame by the end (without Aaron and Amy) that I was glad to see them go.

There there were shows that I was intrigued by that never got off the ground - Flash Forward, Cupid (the original with Jeremy Piven), Mr. Stearling, The Cape and Traveler

Gilligan's Island.....yep they would still be on the Island. hahaha

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy and Angel both! (although Buffy is rerun on Logo quite often and Angel is on TNT) so I get a fix for them every now and then :)

    They're also on Netflix. :)

    As for me:

    Quantum Leap
    Friends
    Firefly
    Star Trek: The Next Generation
    Dawson's Creek
    Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman
Little House on the Prairie (Yes, I know I'm a dork. :blushing: )
    Judging Amy
    Dukes of Hazzard

I could go on, but won't for the sake of time.

The A team, Airwolf, V, and Silk Stalkings. I also miss the original cast of CSI. It is almost unwatchable now.

    ER
    First Watch
    The Pretender
    Friends
  • I'm the same way. The few, scant shows that I do enjoy tend to not last beyond one or two seasons.

Gilmore Girls. They ended that so abruptly, it was a shame that the last episode was so thrown together and rushed.

I LOVED this show. So witty and quick. Sad that it ended, but the way it was thrown together in the end made me feel like they really didn't know where to take the show after she graduated from college.

Amy Sherman Palladino knew exactly where it was going. She had the final script (which remains a secret to this day) from day 1. She knew exactly where the Gilmores would end up. Unfortunately, she wasn't allowed to ever bring that to fruition because she wanted too much money on her final contract and the network opted to finish the show without her. A travesty in my opinion.

Luckily I never watched it while it was on air, so I didn't really MISS it. I watch it constantly now that I own the series.
