Weight gain

I kin of took a break from MFP, at 147pounds, in the summer.. About a week and ago I started again, to lose those last pounds, and weighed in at 149 pounds... not bad after a whole summer pf being careless. I started working out more and logging my food, and expected so nice results yesterday...150. What? I gained a pound after caring and working out, but not when I ate whatever I wanted?!
I was hoping it was a mistake, so I weighed in again today- 151.5. In a day!
I started a toning rutine 4 days ago, so I know it's too early for muscle gain...
Can anybody explain this?

First thing muscles do when out of shape and under stress is retain water. Lots of it. Give yourself a couple weeks of eating clean and consistently working out before you freak out too much.

There's a lot that goes into your weight makeup. Not only could the 149 have been wrong, but you could also have retained water since working out. Kick the water up and don't weigh yourself too much. That number on the scale will vary so don't expect it to be accurate all the time. I give my scale a range of 2-3lbs, though it is very accurate. Also, this could be rhetorical, but how much did you change your diet? You need to burn more than you take in. You probably already know this! I just know the week I did a major overhaul on my diet, including drinking a lot more water to ward off retention, I lost weight. Good luck to you!

Don't worry about daily weight fluctuations. Track weight in comparison to weeks and months. Also track inches and bodyfat if you can. Give your body some time to adjust. If you feel like you aren't losing any fat after a few weeks, dial back your calories 10% or so.
